Pax Suite

For NEXSYS Merchant Systems clients, accessing certain functions and features on PAX devices requires a password. Depending on the type of device and its configuration, the default password may vary.

Semi-Integrated Devices

On semi-integrated devices like the PAX S300, the default password is often set to today's date in the format MMDDYYYY (e.g., November 21, 2024, would be 11212024).

However, if:

  • A custom password was previously set on the device, or
  • The date on the device is incorrect (e.g., due to being powered off for an extended period),

you may need to try alternate passwords.

Integrated Devices

For fully integrated devices, such as the PAX A series (A80, A920, A920 Pro, A35, etc.) or E series (E600, E700, E800, etc.) devices, passwords are required to access device settings. Below are some commonly used default passwords:

  • 9876 (default standard password)
  • pax9876@@
  • 9876@@
  • Date in long format (MMDDYYYY)

Troubleshooting Tips

If none of these passwords work:

  1. Verify that the device's date and time settings are correct.
  2. Contact NEXSYS Merchant Systems support for assistance with resetting or retrieving the password.
