If your PAX A920 is not holding a charge, this guide will walk you through basic troubleshooting steps to identify and resolve the issue. Follow these instructions, and refer to the attached video for a visual walkthrough.
Step 1: Check the Battery Tab
- Remove the Battery Cover:
- Slide the button on the back of the device to the right to open the back cover.
- Remove the Battery:
- Take out the battery and remove the protective tab, which may prevent proper charging.
- Reinsert the Battery:
- Insert the battery back into the device and replace the cover.
- Slide the button to the left to secure the cover.
Step 2: Connect the Charging Cable
- Plug the USB end of the charging cable into the provided adapter.
- Insert the Micro-USB end into the charging port on the left side of the A920.
- Plug the adapter into a working wall outlet or surge protector.
Step 3: Confirm Charging Status
Once the device is plugged in:
- The screen will turn on temporarily, showing a charging battery icon.
- If this does not happen, proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Verify Power Sources
- Check the Wall Outlet or Surge Protector:
- Ensure the outlet is not damaged and the surge protector is turned on.
- Test the Charging Cable:
- Connect the Micro-USB cable to another power source, such as a laptop or a charging station, to confirm it works properly.
- Check the USB Adapter:
- Use a different USB cable with the PAX-provided adapter to verify that the adapter is functioning.
