Changing the receipt paper on your PAX A920 terminal is a simple process. Follow this guide to load the paper roll correctly, enable print preview, and ensure smooth receipt printing.
Steps to Load the Paper Roll

Access the Paper Roll Hatch
- Open the back of the A920 device to locate the paper roll compartment.
- Lift the hatch to open the compartment.

Insert the Paper Roll
- Place the receipt paper roll into the compartment, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll.
- Pull a small section of paper out of the compartment before closing the hatch.
- Important: Incorrect installation may result in error messages.
Enabling Print Preview in System Settings
- Open the Payment Application of your choice on the A920.
- Access the Function Tab to navigate to the system settings.
- Enter the system settings password, which is the current date in the format MMDDYYYY.
- In the Settings Panel, locate the System Settings tab.
- Under the Working Mode section, toggle the Print Preview option to "Enabled."
Printing a Transaction Receipt
- Perform a transaction in your payment application by entering the necessary sales information.
- After completing the transaction, the receipt will print automatically.
